    The 2010 Biennial of the Americas

    The 2010 Biennial of the Americas is an international event celebrating the culture, ideas and people of the Western Hemisphere, hosted by the City of Denver. Throughout the month of July, Denver will welcome national and international visitors for a cross-cultural experience bridging and unifying the artistic, intellectual and political progress of the hemisphere's 35 nations. The historic McNichols building in Denver's downtown Civic Center Park will be the Biennial's "center stage" and host The Nature of Things exhibit, featuring contemporary artists from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Peru and more!     Energy Effects exhibit at MCA Denver

    The Denver Museum of Contemporary Art's current exhibit Energy Effects encourages visitors to re-examine their assumptions about conservation to develop a more complex view of energy use.     Denver Art Museum Architecture Tour

    Experience the best parts of the Daniel Libeskind–designed Frederic C. Hamilton Building, like Boettcher Canyon Walk, the Bartlit Sculpture Deck, and views from Duncan Pavilion. Daily at 1 pm.     A citywide book club was created to build community and encourage people to read. Denver citizens, young and old, are invited to join others in the shared experience of reading the same book and participating in fun activities. You can vote now through the July 15th for the next book. This citywide book club does not launch until Sept 1ST

    Yoga Rocks the Park

    Come join hundreds of your yogi friends every Sunday, 4 p.m. May 30 – Sep. 19 at Denver’s City Park (meet at West side of the park off of York & East 21st Avenue) for yoga, live music, socializing and fun. Now in its second season this year’s event features Colorado’s most inspiring yoga instructors from Denver’s top studios, a new and improved children’s program presented by “Storytime Yoga,” and even more great live music by Denver’s most beloved live musicians. Yoga Rocks the Park! donates all profits to Colorado-based, non-profit Yoga World Reach which offers yoga and alternative therapy programs to those in need both locally and around the globe.
