The 2016 Laureate of the Pritzker Architecture Prize is one of the most prestigious awards in architecture, and this year’s winner is: Chilean architect Alejandro Aravena.
“The jury has selected an architect who deepens our understanding of what is truly great design,” said Tom Pritzker, Chairman and President of The Hyatt Foundation, which sponsors the Pritzker Architecture Prize. “Innovative and inspiring, he shows how architecture at its best can improve people’s lives.”
Modern In Denver photographer James Florio (whose work appeared in our winter photo essay), had the opportunity to capture Aravena’s work internationally. Scroll to view his stunning images of Aravena’s work.
