LOOKING TO SEE HOW DESIGN CAN INSPIRE FINE ART? FOLLOWING A SUCCESSFUL SERIES OF EXHIBITIONS AT ROOM & BOARD’S SAN FRANCISCO LOCATION, THE DENVER SHOWROOM WILL SEE ITS OWN SERIES HIGHLIGHTING LOCAL ARTISTS.
“Contemporary Abstraction” running from April 17-24 at Room & Board’s Denver showroom will feature the work of six local artists: Kristen Abbott, Tonia Bonnell, Jon Koenigsberg, Jessica Loving, Jessica Magee and Julia Rymer.
Each were invited to the Room & Board showroom to take their inspiration from the firm’s distinctive mid-century modern design style. They’ll be highlighting their work in various mediums.

Kristen Abbot: “Time Is Too Short” – Mixed media on canvas 48×48.
Tonia Bonnell: “UnnaturalBoundaries” – Graphite on vellum 28×22.
Jon Koenigsberg: “Yellow” – mobile.

“Contemporary Abstraction” runs April 17-24 at Room & Board’s Denver showroom with an Artist’s Reception on Friday, April 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. Visitors can sign up at the reception to win a signed print from one of the artists, which will be housed in a Room & Board frame.
