Our signature annual event, Design In Bloom, once again drew 500 Colorado creatives for a night of networking, giveaways, food, and flowers on April 30! Held at Verve in downtown Denver, the event offered architects and designers the opportunity to showcase their talents in the form of innovative floral designs and arrangements. Guests from Colorado’s creative community enjoyed floral-themed hors d’oeuvres by Linda Hampsten Catering, craft spring cocktails, an array of options from Epic Brewing, and Andegavia wine. The venue—decked with gorgeous decor from The Perfect Petal—was an industrial-style space with soaring windows offering downtown views as a backdrop to the 15 floral arrangements on center stage.
At Modern In Denver, we’re more than a magazine. We put just as much energy into print as we do connecting the community through our events, which we’re able to offer complimentary thanks to our sponsors: Schomp BMW, Thurston Kitchen & Bath, Platform Workshop, The Denver Shade Company, Mile Hi Modern, and CAPCO Tile & Stone.
On display were 15 arrangements, but these aren’t your ordinary floral displays. We had everything from 3D printing to concrete and even one with an audio component. Every arrangement was thoughtfully crafted, showing unique style and technique. Many thanks to all our participants:

In addition to the displays, Schomp BMW offered test drives of the electric BMW i3 all night, and Thurston Kitchen & Bath gave away not one, but two dishwashers!
